   I saw the show here in Australia a few months ago. It broke my heart to see people being so exploited.

   Not just by their own people but also by the large foreign businesses squeezing the factories right down on their prices just so their own shareholders can make a few more cents on their dividends.

   Some people work so hard for so very little while other people who do so little actual physical work are happy to grind them down even further.

   No wonder the masses rise up in revolution every now and again.

   I am downloading this right now so will watch it and see what I think. I looked at the PBS website for it and was glad to see that they admit that factories, and conditions, which exploit workers exist everywhere, even the US or the UK where I live. Take the Morecombe Bay cockle pickers for example.
   My own personal experience of making unnanounced visits on a number of factories in China leads me to conclude that it is probably six of one, and half a dozen of the other. I agree that owners and companies are out to make a profit, and with China being a relatively new player some poor business practice will occur. But it did, and still does, occur in the west too.
   Partly the Chinese problem is one of our creation (which I believe the program recognises). The west, compared to China, relies heavily on automation. We have become lazy, wanting machines to do most things for us. I was amazed by the jobs people in China are employed in. At a gas/petrol filling station you would regularly find every pump manned by someone who would fill your car; car washes: I never saw an automatic one, all done by hand (and ten times better too), supermarkets and shops with lots of staff (admittedly not to western taste, but still…) and so on.
   Even at home the Chinese are far more active than we are, a testament to how lazy in general our society has become.
   So I have no doubt about the reality of China Blue, just doubts about believing that all, or even most, Chinese factories are like this.
   I’m willing to be proved wrong, though

   Where can you download it? I’ve only watched the begining and it was really touching and I would like to see the rest, it portrays the issue of labor laws very well. I can’t find where you can download it, though.
